The Audi headquarters in Australia is located at Victoria Park in Sydney. It is one of the largest Audi Terminals outside Germany. Suckow & Fischer was invited to involve in the metal ceiling design following guidelines from Audi Germany headquarters.
The ceiling panel is 0.6mm steel perforated in 4x21 mm rectangular holes with acoustic fleece powder coated in metallic grey in according to design guidelines from Germany. The concealed suspended grid system is clip-in type (System 185) which is easier to achieve ceiling panel alignments and able to dismount individual panel with hand tool.
There are added features to the ceiling design including: 1) There is non-perforated square area in the center of ceiling panels with factory pre-opening circular holes to install downlight fixtures; 2) There is non-perforated rectangular area in the center of ceiling panels reserved for mounting of signage or emergency light fixtures; 3) Special made fluorescent light panel frames were factory pre-fabricated to allow light fixtures to place behind. In this case, there is no gap between the fluorescent light fixture and adjacent ceiling panels for perfect alignments.
